Welcome to ausMMOausMMO. A new home for mmo gamers in australia. Ok, and kiwis too - fine! I was going to go with "anzacMMO", but felt it was disrespectful to the real ANZACs. Seriously though: welcome mate. In fact, this site is all about mates. About community. And that starts with you. This is a place to talk shit, find old mates, check out MMOs, find guilds, get info, read write ups and generally get your game on. Eventually, we'll have an active, owning guild in every MMO represented on the top of this page. Personally, I've played every game up there, but that isn't the same as having a living, breathing guild that rocks raids, now is it? Southern Legion. Aurora Noctum. Reverence. Vendetta. Bloody Convicts. vF. If you recognise these names, you've got mates here. And you can find em, no matter what game they currently play. Which is the whole point of this site. To keep mates in contact and help everyone get a foot up, no matter wtf you wanna do. ausMMO? WTF?People make mates. Groups of mates then make guilds and recruit new people. People leave games, guilds merge, die and reform in new games or on different servers. People start new games, look for old mates in new guilds then search for resources and info. The whole time hoping that this new game is worth it. The whole point to ausMMO is to keep people in contact with other MMO gamers and guilds. People aren't bound to a single guild in a single game anymore; players shift around constantly. That's just how the MMO gaming genre works nowdays. So its about the right time that we recognised this, and build something that everyone can use and benefit from. Have a place where someone can look for old friends just to catch up, or research who is in a game they are going to, to see if they already have a network of mates there. There's nothing worse than playing an MMO for a month and realising you joined the wrong server, or that 10 guys you knew from an old guild are on a different server... Conditions of Use/EntryI'm not big on conditions, so I'll keep this simple.
In case you didn't pick it up, the conditions basically state that you agree to be a functioning, mature, decent adult. If you can't manage that, fuck off. Still here? Great. Next. |

ausMMO Now -v- ausMMO LaterOriginally, ausMMO was a jumbo set of forums, catering to Everquest, Everquest II, Vanguard, Warhammer Online and World of Warcraft. There was provision for a guild to operate out of each of these games directly from ausMMO. Since then, the site and the sites functionality has grown considerably. In what we hope is an ongoing trend; ausMMO is growing at a rapid rate. Reverence (Vanguard, Saga of Heroes), Stonard and Glacial (World of Warcraft) and Avatar Dynasty (Warhammer Online) now all make their guild homes here at ausMMO. For those guilds that want more than just forums, ausMMO offers subdomains (such as Reverence and Glacial) to guilds that host here. Recently, ausMMO added a front end news site (ausMMO news & feeds) that consolidates all the most popular feeds/blogs/news from other sites. This means that ausMMO is now close to being a one-stop shop for all your up to date news & happenings in whatever MMO you play. Also recently, we have added modules that have categorised, filterable, sortable, searchable links, resources and guild listings for all the games we support. Checking out a new game, finding a network of people to join and getting all your info will never have been as easy. ausMMO is seeking more strong guilds already active in games, so we can keep ausMMO growing and prospering. Guilds build communities in game, so lets build a community that spans the "smaller game communities" into one massive community that can stick together, pool resources and enjoy our gaming lives. Eventually, there will be a module added that will allow users to list their games, characters, classes, guilds and servers previously played. This module will be searchable and reportable by anyone, so that any person can find old mates, investigate new games and generally have a BETTER GAMING EXPERIENCE, with almost no effort. ausMMO will never be stagnant. We're currently busting our heads to build all the tools needed to ensure that everyone can chat, post, find and research anyone or anything in whatever game they're currently playing. So stick around, things will only get better and more helpful to you, the gamer. |

Spanka's BullshitYep, its Spanka again, typing pages of bollox that hardly anyone reads :P MMO gaming is built (and dependent on) communities; those communities start with you. Its getting to the stage where half the aussie/NZ mmo community knows the other half, and every new game you check out, you see familiar names and guilds. Lets get our shit together for real. For players, guilds make or break your experience - so find strong, active, SUITABLE guilds here. For guilds, players are your ONLY resource to be successful or not. So list your guild in our database and check out our forums to ensure that people can find YOU. |
