If you've got a site or service that you (can) provide to Australian MMO players that is FREE and USEFUL, get in contact with me to have a chat about it. I want to be able to help people who will help our community. You can always find me on the ausMMO forums

Welcome to ausMMO, the new community site for any and all australian MMO players. This site has grown to almost 300 members in its first month of operation, with more people joining every day. Many guilds already have members here and if you're reading this article, its likely that you already know someone here. Perhaps you should check out our current memberlist and see who you know. This article marks the launch of the "front end" or "news" part of ausMMO. This news section aims to bring together as many feeds and articles to ensure that the ONLY resource you could possibly need to start any game is here, at ausMMO.
Currently, we have
This isn't my site. It is OUR site. This is a place for everyone to get their game on, find old mates, check out new games and find new homes for their MMO lives. Much like Brad McQuaid, I have a vision of where I want this project to go and what I want it to achieve. That vision goes something like this:
So a person is tired of their current game (or maybe their guild). They want something new. They go to ausMMO, can read up about other games, can drop in and chat with other guilds that already make their home here, can click across and get a heap of links and bookmarks that will help them out and maybe even find some old mates that they used to be guilded with some time ago, using the memberlist feature. It is my vision that aussies can network and keep their group of mates together, regardless of guild or game. That people can find a new network of friends, or join an old one, without days of searching websites, running /who commands in game, without joining the wrong server (and finding out about it 2 months later) or any of the other things that may have happened to you at some point in the past.
MMO'ing is more about the company you keep, the people you know and the strength of your personal networks than anything else. The best game in the world will suck without good people around you. The worst game in the world can still be fun if you're with a strong, active guild. The difference is people. This site aims to keep people in contact with people, gamers in contact with old and new games, guilds in contact with everyone.
Get your game on at ausMMO. Welcome. |
