Rift Update - Scott Haartsman interview

Highlights (not verbatim quotes...)

Server name shuffle?

At 18m 15s, Scott confirms that " are NOT all going to remain the same. They WILL be reshuffled....Info ... just before headstart - guess is 22nd, 23rd or 24th"

Mob difficulty changes?

What we're seeing in beta is pretty close to what they will be come live.

RvR zones always available?

Its possible. Some contested zones are in already and then we'll put in different different mechanics that are pvp related.

Dynamic world events

We went from 1 to 3 groups of designers dedicated to it since so many players love it. Expect more of them.

Ancient wardstones

Still a work in progress, will be fleshed out far more for launch and after launch.

Dual targetting?

We are considering implenting this. Its a big job, but its on the cards as it has a lot of value to a lot of people.

Void Knight & Saboteurs - planned changes?

Yes - changes to the UI to save buff-staring to make using class mechanics easier.

Support for alliances?

Not at launch. Use custom chat channels.

Housing?

A very wordy answer that amounted to "no".

LFG feature?

Would like to get one in, but has to do group assembly for you and NOT suck.

Cloaks?

Possible. We're looking at shirts also.

DPS Threat meter?

Not at launch. Its a very contentious topic. No other response that actually provided information.
